Description: Join OT Advantage in New York City to learn how to prepare for your NBCOT OTR Exam!  Alison Bodor, M.S. OTR/L will instruct you on exam preparation, creating a timeline, determining your readiness for the exam, how to identify what the question is really asking, methods to increase your clinical reasoning skill, and more. Participants will receive the NBCOT Official OTR Study Guide, the OT Advantage Study Guide, and 1 1/2 days of classroom instruction.  You will also have the opportunity to follow-up with Alison for additional questions as you navigate through your studies.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the lesson, the learner will be able to:

  • Be able to list the stem of an exam question.
  • Be able to sort multiple choice exam questions by the domain it corresponds to.
  • Utilize critical reasoning approaches to determine what the question is REALLY asking.
  • List 3 objective methods to identify your weak knowledge areas.
  • Identify (list) at least 5 techniques to apply to your self-study plan.
  • Identify (list) 3 methods to manage test anxiety

Audience: This course is available to anyone preparing for their NBCOT OTR Exam (new grads, international candidates, etc).
