How do I attend a webinar?

OT Advantage offers live webinars and self-paced webinars.  The live webinars are offered on specific dates and certain times.  The self-paced webinars are accessible 24/7. OT Advantage has all webinars hosted on a separate site, http://ot-advantage.webex.com.  We know this is a picky step to leave our site and go to another, but you can find all our webinar information on our site as well! Here is how you can register for a session:  Lives webinars: We offer live continuing education courses for healthcare professionals and NBCOT Exam prep courses for OTR and COTA Exam candidates.  Once you decide on the session you want to register for, you will click on it and get re-directed to our webinar site.  To register for your session on the webinar page, click on ‘live sessions’ (left side of page), then choose the ‘upcoming’ tab.  This will show you a list of all of our live webinars and will give you the opportunity to register and pay for your session.  Self-paced webinars:  The self-paced webinars are recorded sessions that are also offered for continuing education.  You can find information about all our recorded sessions on our site.  To register, you will be re-directed to Webex.  You will then see a list under ‘recorded sessions.’  You can register and pay on this site for your selected course. You will receive your course materials via email that same business day.  Once you finish viewing your webinar, you will be re-directed to a survey.  Once you complete this survey, you will receive a certificate of completion (within 24 hours M-F).  All information is electronic.  No action is necessary for you to notify OT Advantage of your survey completion.

Do I receive continuing education credit for a course?

OT Advantage is an AOTA Approved Provider for continuing education.  Most courses are offered for AOTA credit.  Please check the individual course page for the credit hours and approved provider information. Certain courses may offer continuing education credit for others disciplines.  For example, some courses have the ASHA Approved Provider credential as well. The NBCOT Exam prep courses do not have CE credits.

How do I receive a certificate of completion?

All certificates of completion are emailed to the participant after they have attended the webinar and completed their survey (quiz questions included in the survey).  Some courses may require additional completion requirements.  Please check your course page for information. For live webinars, certificates are processed at the end of the session.  For self-paced webinars, certificates are processed within 24 hours, Monday-Friday.
